•
~J
•
USGS stream gage for Con Creek above New Castle, CO ()09085200), which has a
drainage area of 23.8 square miles (See Gage Summary in Appendix C). The total drainage area
of the Canyon Creek Drainage upstream of the Baxter Ditch is approximately 18.7 square miles.
The period of record for this gage was 1969 to 1986, the period of record used by staff in their
analysis was 1969 to 1986, or 17 years of record. Table 2 below displays the flow of Canyon
Creek upstream of the Baxter Ditch #1 (Table 2), in terms of a percentage of exceedence.
Table ?: Canyon Creek estimated flow upstream of Baxter Di[ch.
CenyDn Ck us of eazler OipN
EaceeEences Janua Februa Mamb ril Ma June Jul Pu usI Se iember October November December
IM
5%
10%
20%
50%
BO%
90%
95%
99%
14.14 14.14 19.64 10).]3 390.Od 5]656 39545 460] 30.64 43.65 22.)1 1].29
1346 12.5) 16.50 5693 32222 44]Bfi 1654) 29.06 206J 33.00 2043 15)1
II5] 11.)9 14.9] 44]9 26306 3fifi.14 104.03 25.14 10.06 2483 18.86 14.93
125] iV9 12.10 2906 20821 J160T 6]]3 2121 16.50 2121 R29 14.14
9.43 9.43 1021 15.)1' 92.)1 196.]9 J3 ]9 ~t5.)1 12.5] 14.83 13]6 11 d0
].06 ].B6 B.fid 11.00 5029 92)1 22.00 1100 1021 1021 943 854
].46 ]d6 ].06 1021 31.43 53 d3 1650 0.64 943 8.W 8.64 ]B6
].31 ]J5 ]B6 9J3 18.86 36,93 1336 605 6.13 ].B6 6.52 )23
680 632 ]1] 664 15]1 1650 ]56 460 5fi9 6A6 6.13 6.95
Canyon Creek Estimated Stream Flow
u/s of the Baxter Ditch
30
25 - ,. . -_ .. -
20 ------ - --- -
15 ---- ------ - - --- --- --
10 - --- __- - - --------_-
5
0
JAN F® MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SFP OCT NW OK
Month
Table 2 above shows that the summer recommendation of 24.1 cfs is available May 15 through
July 14`".
