Existing Water Right Information
• Staff has analyzed the water rights tabulation and consulted with the Division Engineer Office to
identify any potential water availability problems. There are 3 decreed surface diversions at or
downstream of Highway 145, totaling 0.75 cfs. Based on this analysis staff has determined that
water is available for appropriation on Eider Creek, from its headwaters to Highway 145, to
preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree without limiting or foreclosing the
exercise of valid existing water rights.
CWCB Staff's Instream Flow Recommendation
Staff recommends the Board form its intent to appropriate on the following stream reach:
Segment: headwaters to Highway 145
Upper Terminus: headwaters at
(Latitude: 37° 58' S8") (Longitude: 107° 50' 39")
Lower Terminus: Highway 145 at
(Latitude 37° 56' S6") (Longitude 107° 50' S6")
Counties: San Miguel
Length: 2.5 Miles
USGS Quad(s): Telluride
Flow Recommendation: 1.00 cfs (March 15tH -May 14tH)
5.25 cfs (May 15tH -July 14tH)
1.00 cfs (July 15tH -December 14`n)
• 0.85 cfs (December 15`n -March 14tH)
Eider Creek ISF RPT.doc
last printed OI/04/02 1:23 PM
•
6-
