This project involved the placement of 15,500 feet of 6-inch to 15-inch PYC pipe in or along <br />their existing open ditch system. The project was part of the Natural Resource Conservation Service's <br />(NRCS) Salinity Control Program, developed to reduce water loss, salt loads, and to produce working <br />pressure for downstream irrigation users. The total construction cost to complete the project was <br />$195,000. NRCS's grant contribution toward the project was approximately $112,000, for a final project <br />loan balance of$85,373.
