<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />NORTH POUDRE IRRIGATION COMPANY <br />MINERS LAKE REHABILITATION <br /> <br /> <br />Completed Project Looking Southwest Across Dam Face <br /> <br />Proiect Description <br /> <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company (NPIC) owns and operates 22 storage reservoirs and <br />approximately 200 miles of ditches to a service area of 42,000 acres. Miners Lake was restricted to a <br />storage capacity of 257 AF by the SEO's due to an aging outlet works, inadequate spillway, and seepage <br />along the toe. The existing dam is a Class 2 facility, 800' in length, and 18-f1. in height. This project <br />involved the regrading the upstream dam face and adding rip rap, regarding and reinforcing the downstream <br />face of the dam, new outlet works, adding a filter blanket and toe drain system and enlarging the spillway. <br />The project commenced construction in February of 2006 and was completed in the summer of 2006. <br />NPIC requested an additional $120,000 in loan funds in July of2006 to cover unforeseen work, construction <br />modifications, and additional dredging. <br /> <br />Proiect Data <br /> <br />Sponsor: North Poudre Irrigation Company County: Larimer Water Source: Poudre River <br /> <br />Terms of Loan: $735,280@3.25% for 30-yrs.
