The Supply Irrigating Ditch Company operates the ditch to supply water to 160 shareholders <br />for irrigation within the 8,500-acre service area. The Company wants to rehabilitate the Knoth Reservoir <br />for use as an equalizer, and for storage under a conditional decree for 542 acre-feet. Rehabilitation work <br />would be done in fall-winter 2001 /2002. The average annual volume diverted now is 9,500 acre-feet, <br />which will increase to 10,040 acre-feet with the project in place. The Supply Irrigating Ditch Company is a <br />mutual ditch company and a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. Duane Smith P.E., <br />of Smith Geotech Inc., has completed the feasibility study. The Company received a$5,000 CWCB grant <br />for �/z the cost of the study.
