Supply Irrigating Ditch Company — Knouth Reservoir Rehabilitation
De-authorization
Introduction
At the March 2008 Board Meeting the Board approved the de-authorization of a loan to the Supply
Irrigating Ditch Company (Company) in the amount of $1,700,000 for the rehabilitation of the
Knouth Reservoir project. That de-authorization was mistakenly identified for a non-existing loan.
Therefore, the Board must act to de-authorize the proper loan.
In 2001 the Company applied for a$1,700,000 loan, which was given an internal contract number,
but was never authorized by the Board. In 2003, the Company re-applied for $1,000,000 loan,
which was authorized but no contracts were signed. When researching the loan to the Company, the
2001 contract number appeared instead of the 2003 contract number. Thus, Staff requested the Board
approve de-authorization of the 2001 loan in the amount of $1,700,000 instead of the 2003 loan in
the amount of $1,000,000. This de-authorization needs to be amended to instead identify the loan
approved for $1,000,000.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends amending the de-authorization of the Construction Fund loan to the Supply
Irrigating Ditch Company (approved March 19, 2008, Agenda Item 19) for $1,700,000 by correctly
identifying the de-authorization to apply to the loan approved March 26, 2003, Agenda Item 24e, in
the amount of $1,000,000.
