Hotel Reservoir is a Class I dam, with a dam height of21-feet and a storage capacity
of 549 acre-feet. Storage restrictions were imposed by the State Engineer's Office due to a history
of seepage problems. The Ditch Company elected to reconstruct the entire dam, based on
recommendation from Resource Engineer, Inc. The improvements involved reconstruction of the
dam embankment to a height of 22-feet with a crest width of 44-feet. The existing outlet works
remained in-place, but were extended to accommodate the crest widening. A new spillway was
constructed and the County Road reconstructed over the dam crest. The project commenced
construction in the fall of2002 and was completed in the summer of2004.

Proiect Data

Sponsor: Surface Creek Ditch & Res. Co.
