~•
12. Update documentation to reflect the new modeling procedures (e.g., product
based processing). This may be a significant effort but would be facilitated if
a standard data set could be provided, allowing commands files to be used as
examples.
13. Revise the network XML format to be more standard XML, mainly to move
attribute information into elements.
14. Add features to store UTM coordinates with model nodes, in addition to the
diagram coordinates and export as a shapefile. This will allow the network to
be superimposed on a map in ArcMap. Limited work in this area occurred
previously and the network design does allow for both diagram and physical
coordinates.
15. Add features to the network editor to remember the user's selection of node
size, label font, etc., during the editing session, so such settings do not need to
be specified each time a model node is edited.
141.10 Documentation Release. The StateDMI software documentation will be updated
to reflect changes in functionality. Additionally, the resulting PDF documentation
will utilize features in Adobe Acrobat 7+, allowing a navigable table of contents
and searchable document to be created. Users will be able to jump to sections of
the documentation by clicking on entries in the table of contents.
141.11 Software Release. After the above development has been completed, the
StateDMI software documentation and software installation package will be
updated for an official software release, using software release procedures
developed in SPDSS Phase 3. Intermediate updates for testing will be provided to
the State and developers via email or FTP site.
Deliverables:
141.1 Updated StateDMI software, with features to create files for a StateCU climate
station data set.
141.2 Updated StateDMI software, with features to create ASCE Penman data files.
141.3 Updated StateDMI software, with features to support new crop name conventions.
141.4 Updated StateDMI software, with features to support command-line queries from
the StateCU GUI.
141.5 Updated StateDMI software, with features to support new StateMod file formats.
141.6 Updated StateDMI software, with data checks for all products and improved error
handling.
141.7 Updated StateDMI software, with updated login dialog and two-level menu
structure to improve usability.
141.8 Updated StateDMI software, with features to support automated regression
testing, and regression test data.
141.9 Updated StateDMI software, with additional enhancements.
141.10 Updated StateDMI documentation in PDF format, with navigable table of
contents.
140.11 StateDMI software installation package, for distribution from the CDSS web site.
26
