made by messages on standard output/input streams or other inter-
process communications that are available from the .NET StateCU
GUI. Although it would be possible to run a StateDMI server on a
remote computer, it is envisioned that this approach would rely on
StateDMI running on the same computer as the StateCU GUI.
d. Make direct queries of HydroBase from StateCU. This option maybe
appropriate if simple data queries are made. However, it is
undesirable if more complex processing is needed (in this case existing
StateDMI features should be used). It will also require that the
StateCU GUI understand how HydroBase is configured.
If one of the above (or another) alternative is required, budget for this task
would be used to evaluate and implement an alternative; however, additional.
budget may be required if technical issues are discovered. Initial evaluation
of options will occur with State feedback before significant effort occurs.
3. One or more commands will be implemented to query HydroBase for a
structure list, given the water district or division, outputting the results
(structure WDID, name, diversion time series period of record) to a delimited
file. For example, a
readDiversionStationsFromHydroBase(WD="X",Div="X")
command will be implemented.
4. One or more commands will be implemented to query HydroBase for crop
name, coefficient type, and CU method. The data will be written to a list file
with an existing command. The
readBlaneyCriddleFromHydroBase () command will be updated to
allow specifying the coefficient type (kt sw StateCU value).
5. One or more commands will be implemented to query HydroBase for monthly
and daily diversion time series, given a list of diversion structures. StateDMI
already includes features to query and process monthly diversions. However,
daily diversions are currently not processed by StateDMI because they are
estimated from monthly data or are provided by other software. The ability to
query daily diversion time series will be added and diversion comments will
be recognized; however, no additional capabilities for filling or manipulating
daily diversions will be added.
The resulting delimited files output from StateDMI will be read by the StateCU
GUI to populate choices for users.
141.5 Add new commands and update existing commands to support new
StateMod diversion, well, and reservoir data file formats. The following files
are being modified, to allow data file creation to be sequential, without updates to
files during the process:
1. The diversion stations file ('~.dds) is being split into multiple files containing
diversion station parametric information, efficiencies, and delay table
assignments.
21
