are already supported by TSTooI, but need minor enhancements due to the
way that data must be processed. The results will be written to a RiverWare
file. The time series traces can be viewed or further analyzed using existing
TSTooI features.
140.7 Additional Enhancements. Additional TSTool updates/enhancements will be
made in order to facilitate data processing in SPDSS. Enhancements that have
been previously identified and which maybe implemented after discussions with
the State include:
1. Remove natural flow time series because these data are being removed from
HydroBase.
2. Develop and distribute standard Microsoft Excel macros to import/export
DateValueTS or other standard time series formats.
3. Implement a command to fill a time series with an annual repeating pattern.
4. Providing more options in standard displays for monthly and seasonal
statistics.
5. Update additional commands to the "named parameter" notation, which
allows for more error-handling in specifying command parameters, and
simplifies adding new parameters. Commands can be updated as other
enhancements are made.
6. Add additional support for groundwater time series formats.
7. Manage commands files and associated results in a tabbed panel, allowing
multiple commands files to be visible and be processed at one time.
8. Add annotations to show regression results on graphs.
9. Add a command to process lookup tables, for example to convert between
stage and flow, or reservoir elevation and storage.
10. Add a command to generate a time series based on auser-defined function.
11. Add features to set time series description and other "header" information,
resulting in more presentable graphs and summaries.
12. For displays and reports, convert Julian days to convert to date/time (e.g., for
frost date graphs).
13. Add a command to reevaluate the original data limits, to allow merged data to
be filled with a historical average for the merged period.
14. Allow common format (and large) time series files to be unzipped on the fly
to optimize the use of disk space.
15. Enhance the main window to have resizable panels and default to showing a
longer list of time series in the upper time series list.
16. Add File...New and improve usability to prevent accidental overwrite of
commands files.
16
