•
under Task 50 and WiII be accessed from that database using calibration tools developed under
Task 50.
• The Groundwater Contractor will provide a digital copy (in both Microsoft Word and Adobe
Acrobat format) for review and comment by the State. The Groundwater Contractor will
incorporate the State's comments and recommendations and provide a final technical
memorandum, also in digital (Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat) format.
• All TStoal command files, excel data files and any computer programs developed to estimate
stream gain/loss will be documented and provided to the State in a format that allows the
analysis to be duplicated.
Task 47: Coordination with USGS on Denver Basin Modeling
Objective:
The USGS is developing a refined groundwater model of the Denver Basin bedrock aquifers. This
task will provide a mechanism for review and coordination between the SPDSS and the USGS
groundwater modeling efforts.
Approach:
Up to five meetings, on approximately a quarterly basis, will beheld with the USGS and/or
the DWR's contact to discuss the USGS Denver Basin modeling activities and to provide
input to and evaluation of the USGS modeling. It is anticipated that the State will ask the
Groundwater Contractor to run the USGS model, evaluate the input or output files, and
perform other specified modeling-related activities as determined by the State. As a result,
these coordination meetings may require up to a half day for one staff member, with
additional preparation time to review model files and model results and State-directed
technical support activities.
• Before proceeding with technical analyses requested by the DWR's contact, the Groundwater
Contractor will discuss the requested activities with the State and obtain approval.
Deliverables:
• Minutes for each meeting to document the USGS progress, including handouts and discussion
of any issues or concerns that relate to the alluvial aquifer modeling as identified by the
Contractor
• Documentation of the model analysis activities requested by the DWR contact. The format
and scope of the documentation will be discussed with the State prior to undertaking the
technical analyses.
SPDSS_Phase4_gw_SOW_09-] 5-06.doc
