appendices, along with model input and output files in machine readable format. A draft will
be presented to the State for review and comment. After resolution of comments, this report
will be presented to the PRC for review and comments.
• It is anticipated that the draft TM for this task will be submitted to the State approximately 12
months after State approval of the Phase 3 model and that the final TM will be ready
approximately 14 months after State approval of the Phase 3 model.
• All model input, output, and processes required to duplicate the URF development will be
documented and provided in digital format to the State in a format suitable for posting on the
CDSS web site.
Task 48.5 Compare URFs to SDFs
• This task will compare the URFs generated from Task 48.4 to existing Stream Depletion
Factors (SDFs) as provided in the CWCB reports by Hurr, Schneider and others from the
1972-1973 time period. Model simulations from Task 48.4 for various stream reaches will be
summed and transformed into equivalent SDF units so a direct comparison can be made with
the SDFs..Model results will be presented graphically and overlain onto maps showing SDFs.
Deliverable:
• ATM will be prepared that describes the methods used to transform the URFs into SDF-
equivalent units, and discusses the differences between the URFs and SDFs. It is anticipated
this TM will be up to 5 pages in length, with additional pages for data tables and figures. The
comparison of results will be presented in hard-copy and electronic (ArcGIS or equivalent}
formats on a suitable base map of the alluvial aquifer study area.
• The consultant will provide a digital copy (in both Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
format) for review and comment by the State. The consultant will incorporate the State's
comments and recommendations and provide a final TM, also in digital (Microsoft Word and
Adobe Acrobat) format. The shapefile or raster data sets created to represent the data in the
TM figures will be provided and will include supporting metadata descriptions.
• It is anticipated that the draft TM for this task (4$.5) will be submitted to the State
approximately 14 months after State approval of the Phase 3 model and that the final TM will
be ready approximately 15 months after State approval of the Phase 3 model.
• All model input, output, and processes required to compare URF's to SDFs will be
documented and provided in digital format to the State in a format suitable for posting on the
CDSS web site.
SPDSS_Phase4_gw_SOW_09-15-06.doc 15
