Comparisons between the estimates of water budget components for the
North Platte River and Laramie River basins are not made since different components were
identified in the studies reviewed for these basins.
Inflows
• Precipitation
Precipitation inflows in the various studies did not provide spatial coverage of the entire basin
within the SPDSS study area. The USBR reference was the only study reviewed that provided
precipitation as a direct inflow component (date of source data unknown). Other estimates of
precipitation inflows identified in the studies were presented based on gaged surface water
inflows at the top of the respective study reaches.
• Surface Water Inflows
Surface water inflows in the studies were available based on gaged inflows to the top of the
respective study reach (e.g., for the main stem alluvial aquifer between Henderson and
Julesburg).
Task82 final.doc 5 of 7 Apri17, 2005
