What will the Colorado River Basin from the headwaters
to the Grand Valley look like? How will energy development impact the basin? How will growth
along the Front Range impact agriculture and other water users on the Western Slope?
In 2005 House Bill OS-1177, Colorado Water for the 21 St Century, established astate-wide process to
discuss these and other important water issues that will impact all Colorado citizens. Through this
process the Colorado Basin Roundtable was established. The law requires each roundtable in the
state to
1. Conduct a water needs assessment for the basin.
2. Analyze any unappropriated water in the basin.
3. Propose methods/projects to meet future water needs.
The Colorado Basin Roundtable would like your input and feedback on these important water issues
for the Colorado Basin.
