Water Supply Reserve Account -Grant Application Form <br />Form Revised May 2007 <br />5. Please summarize the proposed scope of work. Please refer to Part 2 of the Criteria and Guidance document <br />for detailed requirements. On the following page there is an example format for the Scope of Work. You can <br />use the example format or your own format, provided that comparable information is included. <br />The scope of work should outline by task how the water activity will be accomplished. It is important that the <br />scope of work detail the specific steps, activities/procedures that will be followed to accomplish the water <br />activity and the specific products/deliverables that will be accomplished. The scope of work should include <br />but not be limited to: task description, key personnel, budget, schedule and deliverables and the final <br />report/project documentation upon completion of the water activity. <br />In order to accomplish the proposal, there are four tasks in the Scope of Work: <br />Task 1: Story Budget Creation <br />This comprises work to reach agreement on which stories will be in the issue, length and <br />identification of sources and reviewers. <br />Task 2: Writing and Editing <br />This comprises the actual writing, editing and review of the edition) <br />Task 3: Graphic Design and Printing <br />This comprises the layout, creation of graphics, photography and any other visual art work <br />needed, as well as printing of the edition. 6,500 copies will be printed. <br />Task 4: Distribution and input solicitation <br />The edition will be distributed via mail to over 5,500 readers, to each Roundtable member for <br />their distribution efforts and hosted electronically on CFWE's web site. CFWE will provide <br />distribution assistance to Roundtable members so they can reach key stakeholder groups <br />effectively. <br />East task will be accomplished through the Foundation's vetted and adopted publication <br />procedures, which are attached to the Scope of Work. The result will bean approximately <br />30-page, full color, educational magazine focused on the South Platte Basin that members <br />can use to actively seek input and advice from local stakeholders. <br />The personnel will consist of Foundation Board and Committee members, Foundation staff <br />and contractors and the printing house. The individuals responsible for this proposal have all <br />been involved in publication production for a numberof years and are capable of creating a <br />high-quality product. <br />The total budget, including in-kind contributions, for the proposal is $42,938.00 The <br />Foundation is seeking a total of $32,038 ($16,019 from both the Metro and South Platte <br />Roundtables) to off-set production and distribution costs of the magazine. <br />Work on the issue will begin in July, 2008. The issue will be printed and mailed in October, <br />2008. <br />7 <br />
