The results of the GUNMOD calibration process are evaluated by comparing the results
from the simulated model runs at several calibration poi nts to the historic data at those locations. This
is accomplished by analyzing graphical plots and tabular data (previous pages) of the monthly flows
between simulated and historic flows for the calibration period. The graphical comparisons are
attached in Appendix B.
The calibration points used to compare the GUNMOD calibration run include all the stream gaging
locations used in the MODSIM calibration: Selig Canal, Ironstone Canal, Loutzenhizer Canal, Fire
Mountain Canal, Blue Mesa Reser voir, and Taylor Park Reservoir.
The simulation used for this analysis was deri ved from the CALIBRAT.RUN input data files from
Version 0.99. The following modifica tions were made to the CALIBRAT.RUN data set to produce the
simulation shown in the graphi cal comparisons in Appendix B:
The senior decree at Taylor Park reservoir was increased by 40,000 acre-feet, and the starting
?
contents were set to 88,900 acre-feet.
The Taylor River flow regime was set to 150 cf s in October, 75 cfs November through April, 100
?
cfs in May, 150 cfs in June, 175 cfs in July, 225 cfs in August, and 200 cfs in September.
The minimum release from Blue Mesa was set to 300 cfs and the augmentation and replacement
?
release limits were set to "No Limit."
10
A275 02.23.94 1.15-27 Fosha, Ritsch
