Annually, the various Taylor Park water users reach
agreement regarding a summer release schedule that will provide a stable flow hydrograph below the
reservoir for improved recreational and fishery purposes. As part of this release program, the users have
adopted an objective of having approximately 90,000 acre-feet of stored water in Taylor Park Reservoir
by late August. Because of this practice, the one annual fill of the UVWUA's senior storage right is
generally achieved by early December.
Tables 3 and 4 provide a summary of the physical features of Taylor Park Reservoir.
TABLE 3
TAYLOR PARK RESERVOIR PHYSICAL FEATURES
FEATURESCAPACITY
Outlet Works Capacity1,500 cf s
Total Capacity 106,225 ac-f t
Active Capacity 15 ac-f t
Dead and Inactive Capacity 106,210 ac-f t
TABLE 4
TAYLOR PARK RESERVOIR
AREA/CAPACITY TABLE
ELEVATION AREA CAPACITY
(FEET MSL) (ACRES) (ACRE-FEET)
7,38500
7,39363920,000
7,40484630,000
7,4211,06140,000
7,4351,27450,000
7,4491,45160,000
7,4631,60370,000
7,4771,74280,000
7,5011,87090,000
7,5192,023106,200
2
A275 01.09.95 1.15-21 Fosha, Hyre
