CRDSS <br />TASK MEMORANDUM 1.15-18 <br />Water Rights Planning Model <br />Austin Area Water Rights <br />1.0 ISSUE <br />This task memorandum describes the Austin area water rights and how they are simulated in the <br />MODSIM model. Several relatively large senior water rights are located near the Town of Austin in <br />Water District No. 40. These senior water rights divert water from the Gunnison River mainstem. Total irrigated acreage under the Austin area water rights is estimated to be <br />approximately 8,530 acres. <br />Operation of Austin Area Water Rights in the CRDSS Program MODSIM <br />The Austin area water rights are simulated using two demand nodes.
