Create net reservoir evaporation data in either a monthly historical time series ( ) or 12
?
-mo
values of average net evaporation ( ) (one for each month). The default will be 12 average
-ave
values.

Specify the output units of net evaporation ( ). The default will be
?
-cm, -m, -in, -ft
units of feet.

Specify to output the time series in statistical matrix format (- ). The default will be to
?
matrix
output only the time series.

Specify a constant for both evaporation and precipitation to adjust for geographic variance,
?
including changes in elevation. The default for both will be one.

Specify which historical precipitation and evaporation stations to use in the determination of
?
net reservoir evaporation. The station ID number will be used to identify the stations. The user
may specify a single or multiple precipitation/evaporation station(s) to use in the estimation of
net evaporation.

Specify the weighting factor ( ) corresponding to each precipitation and
?
-.50, -1.0, etc.
evaporation station. The default weighting factor will be 1.0.

Specify the coefficient to convert pan evaporation to evaporation from a free water surface for
?
each evaporation station ( ). The default coefficient will be 0.70.
-.70, -.75, etc.
Command line arguments must be specified in the following order:
1.DMI utility name:
netresev
2.Reservoir of interest: , etc.
TaylorPk, Yamcolo
3.Output format:
-mo/-ave
4.Output units:-
cm/-m/-in/-ft
5.Statistical matrix :-
matrix
6.Evaporation Constant:
A
7.Precipitation Constant:
B
8.Precipitation Station One:
Station ID
9.Weighting Factor Corresponding to Precipitation Station One: , etc.
-1.0, -.50
10.Precipitation Station Two:
Station ID
11.Weighting Factor Corresponding to Precipitation Station Two: , etc.
-1.0, -.50
12.Evaporation Station One:
Station ID
13.Weighting Factor Corresponding to Evaporation Station One: , etc.
-1.0, -.50
14.Pan Coefficient Corresponding to Evaporation Station One: , etc.
-.70, -.75
15.Evaporation Station Two:
Station ID
16.Weighting Factor Corresponding to Evaporation Station Two: , etc.
-1.0, -.50
17.Pan Coefficient Corresponding to Evaporation Station Two: , etc.
-.70, -.75
Note that one or more precipitation and/or evaporation stations may be used to estimate net reservoir.
The command line syntax given below is used to estimate the net reservoir evaporation at Taylor Park
reservoir. The output will be a monthly historical time series in units of inches with an evaporation
constant of one and a precipitation constant of 0.80. The net evaporation time series will be estimated
2
A275 01.09.95 1.15-12 Ritsch
