Title
CRDSS Task 1.15-17 Colorado River Basin Representative Irrigation Return Flow Patterns
Description
The purpose of this task was to develop return flow patterns for both the monthly and daily CRDSS planning models using geologic parameters representative of actual locations of irrigated acreage in each of the five CRDSS basins and a methodology that is acceptable and can be reproduced.

The results of this analyses are shown in Figure 6 for lands irrigated further from a
live stream. Although the pattern extends for 335 days, only the first 120 days are shown here so
the graph is easier to read. As with the monthly returns, surface water returns were estimated to
be 50 percent of total returns. For the daily pattern, surface water is estimated to return to the
river the day after application. Figure 6 also shows the total return flow percents. These values
were formatted and included in the CRDSS daily delay pattern file (*.dld) as pattern " 2". This
file is included as Exhibit B.
