SYSTEM OVERVIEW <br />The Straight Creek Tunnel Drainage and Effluent <br />System (Straight Creek Tunnel) is part of the greater <br />Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel. The Eisenhower <br />Memorial Tunnel, commonly referred to as the <br />Eisenhower Tunnel, carries vehicular traffic on <br />Interstate 70, under the Continental Divide. <br />Eisenhower Tunnel was orig inally named Straight <br />Creek Tunnel, until the tunnel was renamed in 1972. <br />The Straight Creek Tunnel Drainage and Effluent <br />System was designed, cons tructed, and is owned by <br />Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). <br />East Portal of Eisenhower Tunnel <br />After Straight Creek Tu nnel was constructed, the <br />( Previousl y named Strai g ht Creek Tunnel ) <br />Coors Brewing Company (Coors) obtained two <br />separate decrees for the water emerging from th e Tunnel. CDOT may also have obtained water <br />rights associated with the St raight Creek Tunnel water. <br />This key structure is owned by CDOT: <br />Colorado Department of Transportation <br />4201 E.
