3) Croke Canal (Structure ID 0700533) <br />The Croke Canal headgate is located on the north side of Clear Creek, downstream from Golden <br />approximately one and a half miles below the Farmers’ High Line Canal headgate. The Croke <br />Canal is used primarily to fill Standley Lake and deliver water for municipal uses via Standley <br />Lake. The canal crosses Ralston Creek and can di vert water there under Ra lston Creek rights but <br />its predominant supply is from Clear Creek. The canal is owned and operated by FRICO. <br />Length: <br />The canal length from the headgate to St andley Lake is approximately 15 miles. The <br />canal is unlined. <br />Capacity: <br />The decreed capacity of Croke Ca nal is 450 cfs at the headgate. <br />Conveyance Efficiency: <br /> Croke Canal conveyance losses are approximately 15 percent. <br />Irrigated Acreage and Crop Types: <br />There is no irrigation under the Croke Canal. <br />Ground Water Use: <br /> There is no ground water use under the Croke Canal. <br />Return Flow Locations: <br />Return flows from Croke Canal seepage en route to Standley Lake <br />occur to Clear Creek and to Van Bibber, Ralston, and Leyden Creeks which are all <br />tributary to Clear Creek. <br />8 of 24 <br />
