2) Farmers’ High Line Canal (Structure ID 0700569) <br />The Farmers’ High Line Canal headgate is locate d on the north side of Clear Creek near Golden, <br />approximately two miles downstream from the C hurch Ditch headgate. Th e canal travels in a <br />northeasterly direction to Standley Lake. Th e Farmers’ High Line Canal continues beyond <br />Standley Lake to the north and east. The can al crosses Little Dry Creek, Leyden Creek, and <br />Ralston Creek and can divert water at these lo cations under tributary rights but its predominant <br />supply is from Clear Creek. <br />The canal is owned and operated by the Farmers’ High Line Canal and Reservoir Company. The <br />ditch conveys water for storage in Standley Lake and water for direct municipal use. There are <br />also a number of agricultural users under the canal system. <br />Length: <br />The canal length from the rive r headgate to Standley Lake is approximately 20 miles. <br />The entire canal length is approximately 31 m iles, terminating at the Signal Ditch. Most <br />of the canal is unlined. <br />Capacity: <br />The decreed capacity of Farmers’ High Line Canal is 250 cfs. <br />Conveyance Efficiency: <br /> Farmers’ High Line Canal conveya nce losses are approximately 25 <br />percent. <br />6 of 24 <br />
