OPERATIONAL INFORMATION
The FRICO-Standley Lake Divisi on diverts, stores, and delivers water to both irrigation users
and municipalities in the area north of Denver and west of the South Platte River. Operation of
Standley Lake in the Clear Creek basin is a comp lex system that has changed over time as ditch
and reservoir shares have been changed to munici pal and other uses. The St andley Lake Division
essentially diverted water to storage for both di rect and supplemental irrigation water use in the
Big Dry Creek basin prior to the early-1970s. As municipal use of the system increased over the
last 30-plus years, a number of agreements ha ve been reached between FRICO, the Standley
