The data available in HydroBase for the 1950 to present pertaining to Platte Canyon Reservoir
include the following:
End-of--Month Contents (see Figure 13)
• End-of--month contents missing for water years 1950 to 1955, 1959 to 1962, 1984, and
1993 to present along with sporadic months missing in other years. Denver Water
provided a complete set of end-of--month storage contents data, except for three months
in 1991, for Platte Canyon Reservoir. According to Denver Water representatives, these
data are considered representative of Denver Water operations but are not the official
record of Denver Water. The Denver Water data, along with HydroBase data available
for the three months of data missing in the Denver Water data set (October 1991 through
December 1991), are included in Figure 13. This data set includes a number of months
of zero (not blank) data values.
Figure 13
Platte Canyon Reservoir End-of--Month Storage Contents
t,ooo - - -
~ soo
w
w
~ 600
0
w
w 400
0
w
0
~ 200
W
0
O M \O 01 N ~ 00 ~ h O M \O 01 N ~ 00 ~ ~
~n ~n ~n ~n \O \O \O h h h 00 00 00 00 01 01 01 O O
ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti ti
11) Marston Reservoir (Structure ID 0803501) and Marston Water Treatment Plant (no
Structure ID)
Marston Reservoir is an off-channel reservoir built in 1902 near the confluence of Bear Creek
and the South Platte River.
