Combined Gages <br />There are six sets of key gages listed in Table 1 associated with the surface water and ground <br />water modeling for which the physical gage location moved during the SPDSS study period and <br />combining the data for the two gages was determined to be appropriate. The two gage locations <br />were compared to ensure that significant diversions or tributaries are not located between the old <br />and new gage and that contributing drainage areas were similar at both locations. As described <br />below, the gage data were adjusted when necessary to account for significant diversions located <br />between the old and new gage locations. <br />The combined data sets were created using the following TSTooI commands: <br />1. setOutputPeriod -Extends the dependent time series (new gage) to include the period <br />of the independent time series (old gage). <br />2. fillFromTS -Copies data from the independent time series to replace missing values in <br />the dependent time series. <br />With this method, data from the dependent time series (new gage) are used during any period <br />where the two gages have overlapping data. TSTooI assigns the combined gage with the station <br />name and ID of the new gage. The combined gages are listed below in Table 2. <br />Task2.doc 15 of 30 <br />
