The objective of this task is as follows: <br />Meet with large and/or critical ditch companies in the San Luis Talley to discuss their <br />facilities and operations. <br />On March 24, 1999, an interview was conducted with Mr. David Vance and Mr. Wayne Brown of <br />the San Luis Valley Canal Company. The purpose of this interview was to develop a better <br />understanding of Ditch Company facilities and operations such that this information could be <br />reflected in surface water modeling efforts associated with the Rio Grande Decision Support <br />System (RGDSS). The Company is managed <br />by a group of corporate officers and a seven member Board of Directors. Assets of the Company <br />include numerous decreed water rights, the San Luis Valley Canal and associated diversion and <br />water delivery facilities. <br />Share Ownership <br />There are approximately 100 share owners in the Company. This number may vary from year to <br />year as shares are sold or otherwise exchanged.
