Latitude 37° 52' Longitude 107° 41', Elevation 11,800'. <br />Hydrological Unit Code: 14080104 <br />Project Goals & Tasks: . <br />Task 1. Obtain lando«~ier(s) cooperation and participation. Contact and develop cooperation and <br />participation from landowners. This will include both private lando~tiners and public land managers <br />as mine sites in our County are nearly always of mimed o~~nership. <br />Task 2: Develop engineering and bid specifications for project constriction <br />Task 3: Ensure proper permitting (Environmental assessment, histoi7cal revie«-, Section 404 permit, <br />etc.) <br />Task 4: Develop covenant agreement ~~ ith o~~ Her(s) to protect the work to be implemented <br />Task ~: Develop an approved Sample and Anal~Tsis Plan (SAP) for sites selected for remediation. <br />Task 6: Competitively bid construction and a~yard the project to the lo~yest qualified bidder. <br />Task 7: Project Construction and Management <br />Task 8: Involve the public in project development, >lnplementation, and education on BMP's by <br />holding monthlti- public meetings and providing progress reports. <br />Goa12: Demonstrate BMP effectiveness for treating mine ~~-aste sites leading to metals and acidity <br />reduction and TMDL implementation. <br />Task 9: Monitor the receiving stream above and belo«~ the site to be remediated for a minimum of <br />two ~-ears. <br />Task 10: Photo-document site before constn~ction, construction progress, and after completion. <br />Evaluate ground cover remediation effectiveness. <br />
