Climate Data <br />Description with Step by Step Instructions <br />Description: <br />Allows users to view climate data (temperatures, precipitation, wind, etc.) per station. <br />Climate data may be selected based on division/district, and may be further refined using <br />the following criteria: <br />• Station Name <br />• Station ID <br />• County <br />• Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) <br />The Climate Data available is: <br />• Evaporation Pan -Data (daily or monthly) about water evaporation <br />• Frost Date F28F -First date in fall that the minimum temperature dropped to 28 <br />degrees, as an offset from January 1St of the given year <br />• Frost Date F32F -First date in fall that the minimum temperature dropped to 32 <br />degrees, as an offset from January 1St of the given year <br />• Frost Date L28S -Last date in spring that the minimum temperature was 28 degrees <br />or lower, as an offset from January 1St of the given year <br />• Frost Date L32S -Last date in spring that the minimum temperature was 32 degrees <br />or lower, as an offset from January 1St of the given year <br />• Max Temperature -Daily maximum temperatures <br />• Mean Max Temperature -Monthly mean maximum temperatures <br />• Mean Min Temperature -Monthly mean minimum temperatures <br />• Mean Temperature -Monthly mean temperatures <br />• Min Temperature- Daily minimum temperatures <br />• Precipitation -Daily or monthly precipitation totals <br />• Snow -Daily or monthly snow fall totals <br />• Snow Course Depth -Daily snow course depth measurements. <br />• Snow Course SWE -Daily measurements of the snow-water-equivalent of snow <br />course <br />• Solar -Daily measurements of solar radiation <br />• Vapor Pressure -Daily vapor pressure measurements <br />• Wind -Daily wind velocity measurements <br />Use (How-Tod: <br />1. From the CDSS Home Page, mouse-over °View Data" on the menu bar, then click °Climate <br />Data". <br />2. Towards the top of the page, there is a drop-down list labeled °Water Division/District". Select <br />a water division (1 through 7) or a water district (organized by division) from the list. <br />3. Choose a climate measurement from the °Climate Data Type" drop-down list. <br />4. Select a °Data Frequency"; the options available are based the selected °Climate Data Type". <br />5. Choose a tab to define your search options. The search tabs are: °Station Name", °Station ID", <br />°County", and °Hydrologic Unit Code". <br />• Station Name: Specify a full station name. <br />• Station ID: Enter the ID of the station. <br />• County: Select a county in the drop-down list. The only counties available will be the <br />counties in the water division or district selected in the °Water Division/District" drop-down <br />list. <br />• Hydrologic Unit Code: Enter the eight digit Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC), which represent a <br />water basin. <br />
