An attempt to contact each of these entities was made to obtain historical pumping records from
1950 to present. Six of the entities did not have contact information, or the contact information
was out of date and no new contact information could be located. Of the 41 entities contacted in
this task, 19 entities provided historical pumping data, 10 of the entities did not have records of
past pumping, one entity chose to not provide data, and 11 entities indicated their cooperation
but did not provide data by the date needed to complete this task. In addition, before the 1000
gpm cutoff per entity was established, historic pumping records were requested and received
from three municipal entities that have a total pumping rate less than 1000 gpm. Their historic
information is also provided.
Pumping records from 1950 to the present were requested from each entity; however, in most
cases complete records were not available. The data were generally submitted electronically in
spreadsheet format. In a few cases the data were submitted in PDF format that had to be
manually entered into a spreadsheet. Submitted data were generally fairly recent and
extended over a time period from the early 1990s to the present. The format of these data
varied considerably and contained both individual and aggregate well records for weekly,
monthly, or yearly time intervals. Table 2 summarizes the period of record, format, and types
of data received from each entity.
Table 2: Summary of Historic M &I Pumping Data Obtained
Total
Pumping:
Decreed
Individual or
Pumpage
Pumping
Data
Format of
ID
Entities with M & I Wells
(gpm)
Received
Notes
Data
Time Period
Wells
Provided
setting 1000 gpm target
Individual 2005
Contacted prior to
49
N.
