Stream profiles have been established to monitor the <br />effects of the project on stream bank and stream bed erosion. A water quality monitoring <br />program, with monitoring sites above and below the project, has been established; six <br />years ofpre-project data water quality are available. Post-project data will be collected. <br />Periodic fish sampling is conducted by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. Results from <br />these monitoring activities will provide a means of evaluating the long-term effects of the <br />project. <br />Four similar projects conducted on the river in the past eight years have shown positive <br />results on water quality, fish habitat, riparian vegetation and bank stabilization. <br />Landowners who have participated in these past projects have been pleased with the <br />results and support further projects. Completion of the project has been advertised <br />
