<br />eORI <br /> <br />Desert Research Institute <br /> <br />May 21,2008 <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Busto <br />CWCB Flood Protection Program <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 721 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: P.O. #OE PDA 08000000079 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Busto: <br /> <br />As specified in the Statement of Work undcr Project Tasks and Deliverables for Task I) of <br />Fabricating a Remotely Controlled Propane Cloud Seeding Dispenser for a Colorado Weather <br />Modification Program, the Desert Research Institute has successfully purchased all components nceded <br />to fabricate the dispenser. The budgct of $11,243 also permitted the purchase of a data logger and <br />peripherals needed to remotely control the unit, communications hardware needed to access the unit using <br />digital (CDMA) wireless technology, and weather station sensors needed to monitor cloud and weather <br />conditions to determine when the unit should be operated. All components needed to fabricate the <br />dispenser are now on hand, and due to the delay in receiving some of the less critical parts, the unit has <br />already been fabricated and will be described in the accompanying Task 2 report. <br /> <br />An invoice detailing the costs of the components used in completing Task] is attached. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />(l~ 0. floc;- <br /> <br />Arlen W.
