Request for Administration of Instream Flow Rights
on the Colorado River

On behalf of the Colorado Water Conservation Board, I hereby request the water officials of the State of
Colorado to administer in the priority system the Board's instream flow water right on the following
segment of the Slate River to preserve the natural environment to a reasonable degree.

The Board is hereby placing a written call for said instream flow water rights to ensure that the full
decreed amount of these water rights is made available for the decreed beneficial use of preserving the
natural environment to a reasonable degree. The effective date of this call is August 21, 2007 and the
call is to be in effect until further notification from the CWCB.
