<br />Creek, and Side Creek and its Tributary were taken directly from <br />the existing Flood Insurance Studies for Aurora, Cherry Hills <br />Village, Columbine Valley, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Littleton, <br />and Sheridan (References 2 through 9, respectively). <br /> <br />The hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for portions of First, Piney, <br />Murphy, Lone Tree, Happy Canyon, Cottonwood and Little Creeks and <br />Lee Gulch were performed by J.F. Sato and Associates, for the <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), under Contract No. EMW- <br />84-C-163l. This work was completed in August 1985 (References 10, <br />11, 12, 13, ~4, 15, and 16). <br /> <br />The hydraulic analyses for a portion of Cherry Creek extending from <br />Cherry Creek State Recreation Area to the Arapahoe Douglas County <br />line were performed by Greiner Engineering, as reported in River <br />Run Development. Letter of Map Revision. Arapahoe County. Colorado, <br />(Reference 17). . <br /> <br />The revised hydraulic analyses for portions of East Tollgate and <br />West Tollgate Creeks were performed by Merrick and Company, Greiner <br />Engineering, and the City of Aurora Engineering Division <br />(References 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22). <br /> <br />The hydraulic analysis for a portion of Unnamed Creek was performed <br />by Holland Corporation (Reference ~3). <br /> <br />The hydrologic study of the South Platte River, from Chatfield Dam <br />to the corporate limits of the City and County of Denver, was <br />prepared by Merrick and Company, under contract to. the Colorado <br />Urban. Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD), and was <br />completed in May 1983. <br /> <br />The hydraulic analyses for the South Platte River, from the <br />corporate limits of the City and County of Denver, upstream to the <br />U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (COE) Channel Improvement Project, <br />were performed by Wright Water Engineers, under contract to UDFCD, <br />and were completed in September 1985. The' hydraulic analyses of <br />the COE Channel Improvement Project were also performed by Wright <br />Water Engineers under contract to UDFCD (completed in September <br />1987). The hydraulic reanalyses of the South Platte River, from <br />the COE Channel Improvement Project (Fairway Lane) upstream to the <br />Chatfield Dam, were based on the COE September 1979 hydraulic <br />computer model, using the discharges determined by the May 1983 <br />Merrick hydrologic study and was carried out by the FEMA Technical <br />Evaluation Contractor, in November 1987. <br /> <br />1.3 Coordination <br /> <br />The Arapahoe County Planning Department supplied ~oning and <br />corporate boundary maps for areas throughout the county. <br />Conferences were held with the County staff on June 5, July 15, and <br />July 24, 1975. The final community coordination meeting for the <br />original study of the unincorporated areas was held on <br />September 16, 1975. <br /> <br />2 <br />
