7.0 OTHER STUDIES

A 1976 COE Floodplain Information re:port (Reference 12) includes
determination of 10-, 50-, 100-, and 500-year flood discharges and
water-surface profiles. This study iSI based on present conditions;
however, the CO]~ data were used to show floodplain boundaries.

In November 1917, Howard Needles Tammen & Bergendoff completed a study
(Reference 21) for the UDFCD. The 10-,. 50-, 100-, and 500-year flood
discharges were calculated for future flood conditions and the 100-year
profiles and floodplain limits are shown.. The results of this study for
Sulphur and Tallman Gulches are based on the present conditions of the
study area. Therefore, the results of this study are necessarily
different from those of the 1977 study.

Because this Flood Insurance Study has been prepared using information
from the Type 15 and 19 Flood Insurance Studies for Douglas County,
Colorado (References 1 and 2), the studies are in agreement.

8.0 LOCATION OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent data used in the preparation of
this study can be obtained by contacting the Natural and Technological
Hazards Division, FEMA, Denver Federal Center, Building 710, Box 25267,
Denver, Colorado 80225-0267.

9.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
