Navajo Wash. With respect to temperature, if da ta is available Mancos should be used, otherwise <br />Cortez data with appropriate adjustments for elevation is acceptable. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14080202, Montezuma County <br />For this unit, the USBR recommended the Cortez sta tion. There are four weat her stations: Cortez, <br />Yellow Jacket, Mancos and Dolores, which could be used for this unit. Average annual precipitation at <br />Cortez, Yellow Jacket, Mancos and Dolores is 12.0, 15.6, 16.4 and 18.5, respectively. Based on a <br />review of precipitation and temperatur e data, the location of the station with respect to the irrigated area <br />and topography, it is recommended that the Cortez a nd Yellow Jacket stations be used. The Cortez <br />station is recommended only for the irrigated area tributary to Navajo Wash, and the Yellow Jacket <br />station for the remaining irrigated area. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14080202 Dolores County <br />For this unit, the USBR recommended the Cortez station. Based upon a review of the location of <br />weather station with respect to the location of the irrigated area and topography, it is recommended <br />that the Northdale station be used for this unit. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14080203 San Miguel <br />For this unit, it is recommended that the Northdale station be used. <br />Hydrologic Unit 14080203 Montezuma <br />For this unit, it is recommended that the Yellow Jacket station be used. <br />4.0 RESULTS <br />The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather stations recom mended for use in <br />CRDSS are listed in Table 5. <br />3 <br />12.3.96 12.09-17 - Walter <br />
