Determine the total urban population within a county by adding the populations of cities within the county (regardless of basin location). Subtract the total urban population from the county population to obtain rural population. Multiply the rural population by the land percent of the county that lies within the river basin (see Table 2). Annual population estimates, percent urban population, monthly percent of average use, average gross per capita consumption, and consumptive use ratios were input to StateCU by county.
