A closer look at individual counties shows <br />that the decline was most pronounced in "urbanized" counties like Jefferson (Figure 2). <br />Irrigated acres in rural counties varied between years but either remained relatively <br />constant over this time period, as in Logan County (Figure 3), or increased slightly over <br />time, as in Sedgewick County (Figure 4). <br />Figure 1.
