SPDSS Memorandum <br />Final <br />To: Ray Bennett and Ray Alvarado <br />From: LRE -Erin Wilson, Beorn Courtney, and Kara Sobieski <br />Subject: Task 59.2 -Irrigation Water Requirements at Climate Stations <br />Date: March 24, 2005 <br />Introduction <br />This memorandum presents the approach and results from the completion of the following Task <br />59 subtask <br />^ Using calibrated crop coefficients, estimate the irrigation water requirement for <br />common crops grown at the key climate stations identified in Task 53. <br />The SPDSS Task 53.2 -Collect and Fill Missing Monthly Climate Data memo discusses the <br />identification of and filling techniques for the key climate stations selected to represent climatic <br />conditions throughout the South Platte, North Platte and Laramie River basins (SPDSS study <br />area). Figure 1 shows the locations of the 26 key climate stations. The SPDSS Task 59.1 - <br />Develop Locally Calibrated Blaney-Griddle Coefficients memo describes the process of <br />developing the three sets of calibrated coefficients that will be applied to the SPDSS study area: <br />^ High Altitude Region -Water Districts 23, 47, 48, 80, and the upper portions of <br />Water Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 <br />^ Upper Plains Region -Water District 2, and the lower portions of Water Districts 1, <br />3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 <br />^ Lower Plains Region -Water District 64 <br />
