<br />General Compliance <br />WHEREAS, the information in said new report for the stream reaches in the Town of <br />Kiowa, as listed in Table 2 above, meets all of the requirements for approximate information <br />listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of <br />Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1 <br />(Rules and Regulations), contingent upon the understanding by the Town of Kiowa of the need <br />for a case-by-case review of all development proposals; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION. APPROVAL. ACKNO~VLEDGEMENT AND RESCISSION ACTION <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Castle Rock, Colorado, this 29th day of March 1999, that it does <br />herebyacknowledge the official status of the Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated September 6, <br />1974, for purposes of the National Flood Insurance Program, during the period from September 6, <br />1974 until February 27, 1976, and that it does hereby acknowledge the official status of the revised <br />Flood Hazard Boundary Map dated Febmary 27, 1976, for purposes of the National Flood <br />Insuranc:e Program, during the period from February 27, 1976 until March 29, 1999, and that it <br />does hereby rescind the storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins delineated in each of those <br />Flood Hazard Boundary Maps, even though the Town of Kiowa has never participated in the <br />National Flood Insurance Program; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Colorado Water Conservation Board does hereby <br />designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those streams within the <br />Town of Kiowa, as listed in Table 2, that ar~: described by the approximate floodplain information <br />in said new report dated March 1999, that m~~ets the criteria set forth in the Rules and Regulations, <br />and, as appropriate, the criteria set forth in the Guidelines, contingent upon the understanding that <br />the Town of Kiowa will regulate the approximate floodplains on a case-by-case basis, subject to an <br />approximate or detailed hydrologic analysis, as appropriate, and subject to an approximate or <br />detailed hydraulic analysis, as appropriate, both analyses to be performed by a professional <br />engineer and submitted by the developer or development proponent; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the Towtl of Kiowa; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Elbert County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; and the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency, Region 8. <br /> <br />6 <br />
