Water Supply Reserve Account - Grant Application Form <br />Foim Re~ised nla~ 2007 <br />Describe ho~~~ the «ater activitv ineets these Threshold Criteria. <br />1. The ~~-~ter lctitirit~- ineets the eligibilitti- requireinents outlined in Part 2 of the Criteria and <br />Guidelines. <br />This water activity meets the eligibility requirement by providing a water needs assessment for the <br />study area and an evaluation of the long term sustainability of the various aquifer systems in the study <br />area taking into consideration current and future water demands, consumptive use and recharge. <br />2. The ~~ater activirir is consistent «-ith Section 37-75-102 Colorado Revised Statutes. The <br />requireinents/language fi~om the statute is provided in Part 3 of the Criteria and Guidelines. <br />The water needs assessment will not restrict the ability of the holder of a <br />water right to use or to dispose of that water right in any manner <br />permitted by Colorado law and is consistent with CRS 37-75-102. <br />The ~~-1ter ~ctitirit~T undei-~~ ent an evaluation and approv~l process and ~~-as appro~red b~- the Basin <br />Rotmdtable (BRT) and the application iucludes a description of the results of the BRTs evaluation <br />and approval of the activiri-. At a ininiinuin, the description inust include the level of agreeinent <br />re~ched b~~ the roundtable, includuig an~- minorit~- opinion(s) if there ~vas not general lgreement for <br />the ~ctitirit~-. The description inust also include reasons ~~h~- general ~greement «-as not reached (if it <br />«~as not), nicluding ~~~ho opposed the activit~~~ and «hv the~- opposed it. Note- If this uiformation is <br />included i~i the letter from the roundtable chau- simpl~- reference that letter. <br />The Upper Mountain Counties Water Supply Consortium presented its <br />application to the South Platte and Metro Basin Roundtables and was <br />approved in the amounts noted above by both roundtables during their <br />March meetings. The meeting notes from the meeting should reflect the <br />approval. <br />4. The ~~-ater activitti- ineets the provisions of Section 37-75-10~(2), Colorado Revised Statutes. The <br />requireinents/language froin the statute is provided in Part 3 of the Criteria and Guidelines. <br />The water needs assessment meets the provisions of CRS 37-75-104 <br />(2)(c) by improving the water needs assessment in the study area and <br />identifying possible areas where long term sustainability of the aquifer <br />systems may merit additional attention and/or analysis. <br />4 <br />
