The attached documents represent our sul:mi ttal for a propOsed map arrendment
relative to the Dry Creek No. 1 flcxxl improvements projects in the Ci ty of
Longm:>nt, Colorado. Thi s sul::rni ttal' has been prepared in stri ct accorda"1ce
with the August 27, 1984 issue of Cl Flood Insurance Administration document
entitled "Conditions and Cd teria for Floodway Revi sions".

The bulk of the voluminous materials included in this package can be
organized for yoUr review in thi s fashion:

1. "Proposed Amendments to the Flood Bound~"'Y and FIO<:l&..;ay ~ps for
Dry Creek No. 1 - City of Longrront, Colorado" - the attached
document provides an organizational overview of the flood
improvement projects affecting Dry Creek No.1, methods of
hydraulic evaluation, and proposed map revisions.

"Floodplain Information and Flood Control and Drainage Plan - Dry
Creek No.1" thi s text, and the accompanying "Techni cal
Appendix" is provided for a review of the hydrologic analysis
utilized in the hydraulic evaluations of the flood imoroverrent
projects. This study was perfonned in 1980 for the City of
Longmont.

"Dry Creek No. 1 Flooo\'lClY Improvements - Preliminary Design
Report" this study details the hydraulic design and
characteristics of various flood improvement project alternatives
investigated for the City of Longmont in 1984.

4. Construction Plans for the Dry Creek No. 1 Drainage ChanI1el -
these plans provide profiles and construction detai Is for the
section of channel from the St. Vrain Creek upstream to the "1\-;,i n
Peaks Mall" (station 4630).
