<br />Table 2, "Flood Insurance Zone Data," summarizes the flood elevation <br />differences, Flood Hazard Factors, flood insurance zones, and base <br />flood elevations for the segments of each flooding source studied in <br />detail in the community. <br /> <br />5.4 Flood Insurance Rate Map Description <br /> <br />The Flood Insurance Rate Map for the Town of Rangely is, for insur- <br />ance purposes, t:he principal result of the Flood Insurance Study. <br />This map (published separately) contains the official delineation of <br />flood insurance zones and base flood elevation lines. Base flood <br />elevation lines show the locations of the expected whole-foot water- <br />surface elevation of the base (lOa-year) flood. This map is developed <br />in accordance with the latest flood insurance map preparation guide- <br />lines published by the Federal Insurance Administration. <br /> <br />5.5 Estimate of Structures <br /> <br />Estimates of the number of structures of various types that are <br />located within special flood hazard areas in the Town of Rangely are <br />shown below: <br /> <br />One- to four-family units 30 <br />Multi-family units 0 <br />Small businesses 10 <br />All others 30 <br /> <br />6.0 OTHER STUDIES <br /> <br />In searching for basic data to conduct this study, no flood profiles, <br />flood plain delineations, or on-going or previously completed studies of <br />flood problems for streams in Rangely or the surrounding area were found. <br />Therefore, the present Flood Insurance Study for the Town of Rangely is <br />authoritative for purposes of the Flood Insurance Program, and data <br />presented herein supersedes all previous determinations. <br /> <br />7.0 LOCATION OF DATA <br /> <br />Survey, hydrologic, hydraulic, and other pertinent data used in this <br />study will remain on file through 1981 with the Federal Insurance Adminis- <br />tration, 451 Seventh Street S.W., Washington, D.C., 20410. <br /> <br />17 <br />
