<br />The 2008 Water Year <br /> <br />October - Near average precipitation and temperatures with a mid- <br />month storm bringing the season's first snowfall to the northern 2/3rds <br />of the state. <br /> <br />November - Extremely warm and dry statewide. <br /> <br />December - Extremely heavy snow storms in the southern mountains. <br /> <br />January - Increased snowpack percentages in all basins across the state. <br />N ear record totals in the southern part of the state. <br /> <br />February - Continued above average snowfall. Average Peak <br />accumulations exceeded in southern basins (6-8 weeks early). <br /> <br />March - Very dry across southern Colorado, and below average <br />snowfall across western Colorado. First dry month since November, <br />2007. <br />
