<br />This summary is from the combined meeting between Colorado's Flood Task Force Jennifer L. Gimbel
<br />(FTF) and Water Availability Task Force (W ATF) held at the Natural Resources CWCB Director
<br />Conservation Services offices in Lakewood, Colorado. Presenters and attendees Dan McAuliffe
<br />included local, state, and federal officials, private sector experts, and media interests. CWCB Deputy Director

<br />Reoort from Governor's Office
<br />. The DNR Executive Director's Office Public Information officer is Deb Fraser. She is building a flood
<br />alert web site with flood program information and asked for cell phone numbers of the members of the
<br />WATF and FTF.

<br />CWCB Staff Reoort
<br />. Tom Browning is the Chair of the
<br />FTF and is the Chief of the
<br />CWCB's Watershed Protection
<br />and Flood Mitigation Section.
<br />. Kevin Houck operates the CWCB
<br />Flood Response Program. The
<br />CWCB has spent the last month
<br />monitoring and tracking snowpack.
<br />March has been a dry month but
<br />April has been snowy around the
<br />state. The CWCB, Division of
<br />Emergency Management and the
<br />Corps of Engineers have been
<br />going around the state have preparation meetings with elected officials, floodplain managers, and
<br />emergency managers. In some cases local officials are clearing debris out of bridges and culverts and
<br />working on access issues if there are issues at potential flooding spots.
<br />. Chris Sturm created SNODAS maps with SNOTEL totals for the meeting. The CWCB, USBR, and
<br />Riverside Technologies, inc. are tailoring this NOAA National Operational Hydrologic Remote Sensing
<br />Center data set for Colorado's water sheds. The blue areas in the map are areas of high snowpack.
