Walcher <br />Executive Director <br /> <br />MEETING SUMMARY FOR MAY 14,2003 Rod Kuharich <br />This report presents information and findings from the Colorado Flood Task Force (FTF) CWCB Director <br />and Water Availability Task Force (W ATF) joint meeting for the 2003 season. Meeting Dan McAuliffe <br />participants include various local, state and federal officials and private sector experts. Deputy Director <br />Larry Lang is the Chair of the Flood Task Force and Brad Lundahl is the Chair of the W ATF. The FTF <br />meets during prime flood season (April through September) to coordinate flood related activities, monitor <br />extreme weather conditions and share program information and assistance opportunities. The W ATF meets <br />year round to monitor and coordinate drought impacts and conditions. The meetings always includes short- <br />term and long-term weather forecasts; spring and summer precipitation and flood/drought outlooks and new <br />developments in local, state, and federal agency programs. This report represents a summary of the <br />presentations and discussions for the meeting.
