Local interests also identified an alignment that
was viewed to b optimal fram fihe perspective of Ind owner neotiation efforts. The
ncrth-to-sQUth lignment for the preferrsd altrnative shown on Figur rvas selected
as the basis for estimating costs.
A summary of the major facilities ssocited with the preferred Iternative is provided
below and the locations of fiacilitie are hown on Figure 9.
Tble 2: Summary of Major Facilitie for the Preferred Alternative.
Preferred Alterntive
North Well Fe1d
6 nevu 2U00 gpm wells
7920 feet of 18" pipe
5280 feet of 24" pipe
Conveyance Pipeline
67 fe9t of 36" pipe
5torae Tank —1 M.G
River Outl4t Structure
The preferred alternative for the Compact Compliance Pipeline is hown schematically
in plan and profile on Figure 2. Approximately 10,000 aeres of land irrigated by rights to
designated ground water will be retired and the his#orical consumptive use, estimated to
be 15,OQ0 acre-fet per year, will be transferred from existing wells to sic or eight new
wells. The proposed location of thes new wells is shown on Figure 2. WitM a pumping
capacity of 2,QOQ gpm per well, six new wells will t ble to deliver 15,000 aer-feet in
nine-month period. The current schedule envisions cmpletion of the wells and the
pipeline in early July 20Q9, with the poteantial to deliver a major portion o# Cvlorado's
estimfid 2009 compact obligation (11,00 acre-fet) before year-erd 2009.
Wa#r pumped from the individual wells wi11 be collctd in an interconnec#ed system of
pipeiines and then conveyed to a storag tank locatd at etevation 35.
