2.7 SNOWATER II - TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATION

SNOWATER II would involve the demonstration of the technology adapted
and developed during SNOWATER I. Implementation of SNOWATER II would
depend on the results of the technology assessment completed in
SNOWATER I. All systems developed would be utilized over a sufficient
number of winter seasons to permit statistical evaluation. In the
CREST program plan, six winter seasons have been decided as necessary
to demonstrate the feasibility of winter orographic snowpack
augmentation.
