<br />'f <br />~ <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />TASK IV: <br /> <br />MANAGEMENT AND REPORTING <br /> <br />Dr. Alexis Long will supervise and manage the overall program. <br />The scientists in charge of each of the major tasks (I - III) will <br />conduct the detailed research activities as described under those <br />sections of the Work Plan, In summary, Mr. Harold Klieforth will be <br />responsible for Task I, Ms, Patti Walsh for Task II and Mr, Richard <br />Stone for Task III. In addition, Dr, Barry Gardiner will coordinate <br />the DRI effort with the BuRec operations staff via daily conference <br />calls, <br /> <br />A, Coordination of Storm Studies and Cloud Seeding Operations: <br /> <br />Visits by Mr. Klieforth to the NWS office at RNO provide the <br />information for the display of current weather maps and forecasts at <br />ASC, Stead by the DRI Synoptic .md Mesoscale Meteorology Laboratory, <br />Forecasts of expected weather conditions are posted three or four times <br />weekly covering periods of four to seven days, These are supplemented <br />with periodic weather briefings, telephone calls to colleagues con- <br />cerned with specific aspects of the field program, and during field <br />operations, with information on current and expected mesoscale events, <br /> <br />During the SCPP field season, Dr. Gardiner will coordinate the <br />morning conference calls with SCPP cooperators. Typical topics include <br />planned field operations, recent and forecast precipitation amounts, <br />reservoir storage, snowpack conditions, avalanche hazards, strong winds <br />and other potential suspension criteria, Additional telephone conver- <br />sations with SCPP or ETI are often conducted during field operations <br />
