<br />c. To study effects spanning long times, it is best to compare the study area with another
<br />area having a natural rainfall climate similar to that expected under precipitation manage-
<br />ment and otherwise as similar as possible to the study area. Such a study may be completed
<br />and the results put to use within a relatively brief span of time.
<br />
<br />d. By the method of homoclimes, one may observe and analyse how environments as a whole are
<br />affected by precipitation and its management, how they are affected by influences other pre-
<br />cipitation, and how important precipitation is in comparison with other influences, some
<br />natural and others artificial, some manageable and others not.
